This year's Challenge is all about energy. The robot we build will complete missions that deal with all kinds of energy sources. Some energy sources are common like oil and electricity and some are uncommon but gaining popularity like solar, hydro-electric, wind, corn, and uranium. The missions also bring attention to personal choices that people can make to help the environment through producing "cleaner air" like planting trees and choosing personal vehicles that use "cleaner" fuel such as hydrogen powered cars. Along with the building and programming of a robot to complete these energy centered missions, our team must also complete a project that furthers our own understanding of energy and hopefully, that of the community. |
